Working Group: Measuring Student Achievement To improve student achievement by developing and implementing a student-level system to provide essential information about educational performance in New Jersey’s public schools (PreK thru grade 12). The Task Force will develop the policies and guidelines for this system throughout its design and operations. The Task Force will initially focus its efforts on early literacy (PreK thru grade 3) and Abbott schools. The system should foster a research-based, data-driven culture of analysis and decision making based on informed judgments. The system must respect professional educators and provide them with a powerful tool to better serve students.
