ELC JOINS NATIONAL ADVOCACY INITIATIVE ON SCHOOL FACILITIES

The 21st Century Fund, a Washington, DC-based advocacy group, has launched Building Educational Success Together (BEST), an initiative to advocate for improved facilities in urban school districts. As a BEST partner, ELC will implement strategies in Abbott districts aimed at involving community stakeholders in school facilities planning and promoting schools as community anchors. ELC will also conduct research, collect data, and offer training to local stakeholders. ELC's work on this initiative will be used to inform advocates in other cities and states.
